The 2818-item New GSL covers up to 92% of the vocabulary in academic discourse. This presentation describes the creation and administration of an online NGSL diagnostic in a large IEP and examines what the results reveal about students’ language proficiency, their vocabulary knowledge, and the relevance of corpora-based frequency lists.
