Effective Classroom Management through Game Theory and Cultural Understanding

Gamification, the application of typical game elements to other activities, can be combined with the understanding of some students’ group-based cultures, including Middle Eastern ones, for an engaging classroom management strategy. The presenter will discuss the strategy’s rationale and effectiveness and offer suggestions for its use in ESL classrooms.
