This presentation demonstrates a set of technology tools that reading teachers can utilize to engage students in self-directed reading practice, particularly in the following five areas of reading skills development: (a) strategy training, (b) extensive reading, (c) reading rate building, (d) vocabulary development, and (e) reading comprehension. Active participation anticipated.
